Tonk is Graham “The Night Honkey” Fry on the vocals and acoustic guitar, Lin Peterson on Telecaster guitar and vocals, Ben Barwick on bass and vocals, Bo Taylor on drums, and Shepherd Lane on the pedal steel guitar. We play country music the way God intended it to be played, that is, country music pre-somewhere-around-1978. Heavy on the Ray Price shuffle-walking-bass-line sort of thing, but bleeding into a Waylon / Paycheck harder honkey tonk style. You know, anything before the Eagles and Pure Prairie League bent country music over a barrel and had their way with it.

Headed downtown with dad & robert monday afternoon. Dutch Architecture is really neat, people are very friendly. Found a liquor store…and bought some beer & rum! The local beers here are all 8-9 ounces…and $2-3…guess they like to drink in moderation. I’ll have to remember the smaller amount when counting cans!
Had some really good conch chowder for dinner, then we made a night dive out front of the hotel. This 4 ft tarpon was all around us for ~20min. I tried to get some shots when he came close but it was fast…got some neat video i’ll post later.
We had a couple rum drinks with fresh local limes and ginger before hittin the sack hard.
What a weekend… No Strings Attached had a blast in Pawley’s Island…and the bus ride down was a trip (video below). Lots of jammin & drinkin. On Saturday Old Habits played a wedding after party at Churchill’s…they opened it up to the public ~11pm and we played to a packed crowd until 1:45am.
